bonsai tree

…a dwarf tree, how so cute! I didn’t know bonsai’s looked this small :-) . Seriously, yesterday was my first time to finally see one…two bonsais at our friend Etuko’s balcony garden.
At one time, i thought this (pic below) was a bonsai …lol… can’t blame me for mistaking another tree for a bonasi…lol…no! i think i may be right! it could be a different species of bonsai…hmm yeah, who knows. but they do have species of all kinds i was told.

Bonsai in Japanese means ‘Pot plant’ if i correctly understood
her explanation in Japanese. While they are small, bonsai are not actually different from the trees we see around us, they are not miniature species. Rather they are small branches of a tree, carefully chosen, pruned and cultivated so that they look like smaller versions of their own species.

Dont you think they look pretty nice? Very pretty and a beauiful art indeed.
